In the fall of 2014, I joined a small group of photographers on a week long Road Scholar trip to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. As you can imagine, the scenery that time of the year was awesome. We traveled around throughout the area with a naturalist and a professional photographer as our guides. All of the pictures included here were from that trip. I consider the animal pictures to be of snapshot quality, but I wanted to include them here just the same. All of the animal photographs except the one of the female big horn sheep were taken at a very special animal preserve. The animals were allowed to roam freely within large open fenced enclosures. For the record, the bear was behind an electric fence when I took his picture. The sheep was photographed in the wild.
The textures and interesting colorations within the salt fields were particularly appealing from my perspective. Those pictures are my favorite photographs from this wonderful trip. We live in such a beautiful country.
